Candice Motley is the visionary founder of Garnish Collective and a nationally recognized leader in the hair extensions industry. From a young age, Candice was interested in how deeply beauty and confidence are connected and drawn to the power of transformation through fashion and hair.
After graduating from cosmetology school right out of high school, she began her career at Mitchell’s in Raleigh, where she spent a decade behind the chair mastering her craft and developing a hunger for more—more innovation, more impact, and more meaningful transformation.
It was during this time that she discovered her passion for hair extensions and began immersing herself in advanced education, eventually earning multiple certifications and recognition as a top-tier stylist and educator.
Candice’s journey took a bold turn when she decided to create her own salon—one rooted in artistry, luxury, and impact. Out of a pivotal moment came Garnish Collective: a space built to empower women, not just with beautiful hair, but with the confidence to reclaim their power.
Over the years, Candice’s mission has evolved. While her love for luxury extensions remains at the heart of her work, she has become increasingly passionate about helping women facing hair loss. Whether it arises from medical conditions, stress, or hormonal changes, Candice understands the emotional toll that hair loss can take, and she has made it her mission to provide realistic, compassionate, and stunning solutions. She is known for creating transformations that not only restore hair, but restore a sense of self.
Candice now splits her time between serving clients behind the chair and educating stylists nationwide. She had held roles for industry-leading companies such as Vish, Covet + Mane, and Natural Beaded Rows. She’s also the creator of EVOLVE, her signature shadowing and education program for next-generation extension specialists, and the founder of Confidence with Crowns, a groundbreaking educational clearing house for stylists who want to learn international methods of addressing hair loss.
Outside the salon, Candice is a mom of two, a fashion lover, and a firm believer in the power of movement, growth, and owning your story.
Fun fact: Candice knows how to salsa dance—and has been known to bring those same bold moves to her transformations.
